The Wheels on the Bike Go 'Round-n-'Round...

...and you shed pound after pound.

You’ve thought about dropping in. You’ve even talked to a friend about doing a class together. But you’re not so sure that an activity you did as a six-year-old can benefit the grownup you. Maybe that’s because you didn’t know the many ways in which spinning can help your body, mind, and soul.

Get fit. A good spin class will not only get your heart rate up, but an hour session can burn up to 500 calories. Imagine doing that just twice a week. Whether you’re trying to lose weight or make up for that pizza and beer, it’ll put you on the right path to getting in shape.

Get active, stay healthy. If you’ve ever had a knee injury, you know a regular part of physical therapy is done on a stationary bike. That’s because cycling is low-impact, which means you can work hard without risking joint damage. For people who have injuries that keep them from participating in activities like running, spinning is the perfect alternative.

Get toned. It should come as no surprise that all that pedaling really works your lower body. Regular cycling comes with the benefit of strengthening and toning your legs. Looking to tighten those glutes? Yeah, it can help with that too. But a good spin workout also engages your core, which is key to maintaining health up and down your frame, especially the hips and back.

Get balanced. If you’re already active, spinning is an outstanding way to cross train and complement your other workouts. If you’re a runner, it engages muscles that are ignored on even your longest and fastest runs. If you like the gym, it’s the perfect cardio workout to add to your weight training regimen.

Get together. Whether it’s your first class or your fiftieth, everyone spins together. No matter how good the person beside you is, they won’t leave you in the dust. If you’re just starting out, rest assured that you can slow down and drop the tension without ever falling behind the group. Everyone is in it together, from beginning to end.

Get happy. Exercise is a natural mood enhancer. If the daily grind has you stressed or you’re going through a little funk, the endorphins produced during a spin will help revive your smile. And it’s hard not to have fun with the lights flashing, the music bumping, and an enthusiastic instructor singing your praises. Even if you’re feeling the burn and cursing under your breath, you’ll go home feeling better than when you arrived.

Get coached. Our certified spin instructors will help you get the most out of your workout. They put in the time to choreograph a ride that targets specific muscle groups, builds endurance, and burns maximum calories. Not to mention the killer soundtrack they put together to help make you forget how hard you’re working.

Case closed. Your bike awaits!
