How I got into indoor cycling: My love for indoor cycling started the moment the music started in my very first class. I was hooked immediately! It quickly became my obsession and my go-to cardio work-out. I knew right away that someday I would be teaching!

The best thing about indoor cycling is: The ENERGY! I love how you can have the worst day ever, go to a great indoor cycling class and the moment it begins, nothing else matters…Then when it's all over, you feel amazing and you have left your bad day behind you!

Music Mania: My playlists are a little of everything. I play everything from 80's, to hip hop, to rock. I love old school songs, and I am a big fan of mashups!

What makes a great class: If the instructor is passionate, it will shine through to the whole class…. a great playlist doesn't hurt either!!!

How I got into indoor cycling: After a few years of teaching group fitness classes such as basic aerobics in the early 2000’s, I decided to try a Spin® class and ever since then I’ve been hooked.

Music Mania: Expect a whole range of songs! I play many different types of music from current hits to music from the 80’s,90’s and 2000’s. A recent play list included Britney Spears, David Essex, Outcast, Mayra Veronica, KSM, J Lo, Flo Rida, Adam Lamber, Beat Junkies, Kaci Battaglia, Eminem, Pitbull, Michael Jackson, Zac Brown Band, and Frankie Goes to Hollywood. I like to mix it up!

What makes a great class: A great class is all about riding to the beat and losing yourself in the class. It’s all about having fun and riding safe.

The best thing about cycling: It’s just you and the bike.

How long have you been indoor cycling and/or TRX?
I first started taking indoor cycle classes when I was in college.

How did you get started?
I did a couple of long distance multi-day charity bike rides before kids but after I had my kids I needed to get my workout in more efficiently than long rides so I got really involved in group fitness classes which helped me get back into shape. I absolutely fell in love with it and got my certifications. I was recently able to get back into outdoor cycling and triathlons and completed my first half-ironman distance triathlon in 2016 (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run).

Tips for first timers?
Don't get discouraged if you aren't in the best shape or if your butt hurts after your first couple classes. Just keep coming, give it a chance and you will be thrilled when you can suddenly start doing things you weren't able to do before. Trust me I was sucking wind when I was getting back into shape after my kids, if you stay consistent and just keep coming you WILL see results.

What do you like most about being a coach? I get to pick the music! Music is so important to me when I am working out that part of the reason I got certified was so I could select the music I found the most motivating.

How long have you been indoor cycling and/or TRX?
6 years

How did you get started?
I was training for my first Pan Mass Challenge and needed to supplement my outdoor training with some indoor training. That’s where I feel in love with indoor cycling. It's a really effective fun workout in a short period of time. I was hooked.

Do you have your own mixes or do you have a favorite Spotify station?
I create my own Spotify playlists each week and I strongly encourage requests. I play all kinds of high energy music that will have you partying on that bike in no time.

Tips for first timers?
Your butt will hurt after your first few classes, you have control over your own resistance so make it yours, and NO I don’t get off my bike to yell or adjust your resistance.

What’s the favorite part of your class?
I love to have fun, I love to party, I love music, and I love indoor cycling. It’s a match made in heaven

How I got into cycling: I started taking classes about 9 yrs ago and fell in love with it! Finally stepped out of my comfort zone, checked one thing off my "bucket list" and became an instructor! So excited I did...I LOVE IT!!!

The best thing about indoor cycling: Amazing workout with music, lights and sweat drippping down my face!

Music Mania: I love all kinds of music so I play a "mixed bag"! Any songs with high energy that keep us moving. I am always making new playlists to keep changing it up! PS: I take song requests.

My style of class: I will motivate you to push yourself to your limits but remember "This is YOUR workout" You get out of it what you put into it!

How I got into indoor cycling:
I was currently teaching traditional group fitness at my gym when they started a spin program. It made sense to increase my knowledge as an instructor and incorporate indoor cycling as another class format that I could teach.

The very best thing about indoor cycling is:
The bike carries you into your own personal fitness zone, every time!!

Music Mania:
I like all kinds of music, from older favorites to the more recent hits playing today. Currently, you will see Ariana Grande, Maroon 5, AC/DC, Outasight, David Guetta, Journey, Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga, The J Geils Band, and Ed Sheeran on my playlist. I will do my best to honor requests and dedications.

And one more thing:
When you push your physical body to your limits, your spiritual body soars!!

How I got into indoor cycling: I got into it when my son was born. I loved that I could go to the gym and get a great workout in just an hour. I became certified to teach in 2013.
The best thing about indoor cycling is: Seeing results from hard work! I absolutely love teaching. It makes me happy to know that I'm helping other people to reach their fitness goals.

Music Mania: I'm all the over the place when it comes to music. I love high energy, upbeat songs that keep your heart pumping. Top 40 (David Guetta, Ellie Goulding, Fergie, Katy Perry just to name a few), Rock (AC/DC, Van Halen), Alternative (Green Day, Lenny Kravitz) and I might throw in a little techo.

What makes a great class: When you’re still out of breath when we get to the end, that's when you know that you worked as hard as you could!!

How long have you been indoor cycling and an indoor cycling instructor?

July 11, 2016 will always hold a very special place in my heart! I’ll never forget the night of my Indoor Cycling audition here at Cycle Life Studio just seven months ago. Since July, I’ve taught over 30 classes and can honestly say every single one is even more fun than the last! Classes keep getting better with every single pedal stroke!

I fell in love with Indoor Cycling in college. While attending Stonehill College, I worked as the front desk girl at Metro South Athletic Club in Brockton. My addiction started there since I could take classes for free.

How did you get started?

As an extremely busy wife, toddler mom, and elementary school teacher, I was looking for a nearby gym that offered classes at night. Three years ago, I drove by Cycle Life Studio. Although extremely out of shape, I decided to take a chance. Thanks to Cycle Life’s motivating, enthusiastic instructors, awesome, cranking tunes pumping during class, and clean, state-of-the-art bikes, my workouts flew by! I loved the incredible lighting! Besides a huge weight loss, I experienced increased energy levels, better sleep, and relief from daily stresses. After I had our baby, my focus became her. I missed exercise. I craved it. I didn’t feel like myself. I wished that I could find time for me again. Everyone at Cycle Life made me feel welcome and comfortable. Cycle Life Studio brought me back to life! I relapsed and became completely addicted.
When Cycle Life held an instructor certification class, I signed up simply to learn more. Why not learn as much as you can about something you’re passionate about right? Well, when Megan became pregnant with her gorgeous baby girl, I was asked and offered to help instruct her classes during her maternity leave. The rest is history.

Do you have your own mixes or do you have a favorite station?

My playlists are developed on iTunes and they are some of my best friends. My favorite artists include David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Flo Rida, Pit Bull, The Weeknd, Sia, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, and Justin Timberlake.

How I got into indoor cycling: I drove by CycleLife Studio a few times, checked out the website, and decided to try it. My first class was with Jaime and I was hooked. The studio is beautiful and has such a positive atmosphere. The instructors are passionate, supportive, and make the classes fun. I have met lots of great people and formed friendships with many of them. I can't get enough. Come try it!

The very best thing about indoor cycling is: the SWEAT and the afterburn.

One more thing: Try it! You will LOVE IT.
